Why would a sniper target a mild-mannered accountant’s boss Tyrone and associates, including an upper-level cop? The accountant (Seymore Haywood) feels he has lived a useless life and begins his own investigation. Kojak suspects Haywood of being involved and brings him in for questioning; his landlady provides an alibi. Kojak must now find someone else who might have a grudge against Tyrone and his silent partners. The gunman (Keith Wickes) threatens Haywood to give him the names because his father was killed so that the syndicate could get his valuable property. Haywood sympathizes with Keith’s desire for vengeance and agrees to help him. Kojak is in a race to catch the sniper and keep Keith from completing the roster of conspirators.
